Lord Ganesha is the son of almighty Lord shiva, and he is considered to be the god of wisdom, knowledge, wealth and prosperity. Lord Ganesha is said to have the face of an elephant while his body is of a human being. Lord ganesha is the giver of all the possession in someone’s life. Actually, Lord Ganesha is worshipped in any starting of any kind of divine offering through any pooja or any ritual. First of all, Lord Ganesha is remembered and after that the pooja proceeds.
Pooja And Significance
Lord Ganesha was born in the Bhadra month and the day is known as Ganesh Chaturhthi, or Vinayaka Chavithi. So , every year Hindu family celebrate Ganesha Chaturthi every year and seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. People bring the idols of Lord Ganesha at their homes and then a priest is called for the holy welcome of Ganesha at home and then prayers are offered to Lord Ganesha for his welcome by chanting mantras.
It is believed that if Lord Ganesha is prayed with full devotion and he can bless the person by fulfilling all his desires and by blessing him with lots of happiness and wealth.
Apart from Ganesh Chaturthi, Lord Ganesha holds an important place in Diwali pooja celebration along with Goddess Laxmi.
